Breast cancer is the most common cancer among females in Singapore. Every year, about 270 women die of breast cancer and about 1,100 new cases are diagnosed. All women are at risk of breast cancer and this risk increases with age.

Early detection through regular mammography screening is the key to reducing the number of deaths from breast cancer. Women aged 50 years or older are encouraged to go for regular mammography screening, once every two years.
